Our Spanish language courses consist of one-on-one instruction with an experienced professional certified Spanish teacher. Our instructors are some of the best Spanish teachers in Antigua with an average of over 20 years of teaching experience. We have a comprehensive Spanish language curriculum complete with textbooks and workbooks suitable for beginners to advanced conversationalists that have proven to be extremely effective on our students journey toward fluency. That being said, you may, if you wish, work with us in designing your own Spanish learning program, emphasizing the material most important to you. Whether you are a visual, audible, or “hands -on” learner, we can accommodate you. We combine grammar and vocabulary instruction real world experiences that make language learning fun.

In addition, Academia Colonial offers students excellent ways to learn Spanish outside of class with our many afternoon or evening activities in and around Antigua or Guatemala city, as well as our family stay program. We also encourage our students to walk around town with their teachers – Antigua’s ruins, museums, central market, and the various boutiques offer many Spanish learning opportunities.
