With both options you will have a local Guatemala cell phone that your family and friends may call to get in touch with you. As well, from this telephone you may make calls to the U.S., Canada, the U.K., Europe and various other countries at quite reasonable rates.

Purchasing a cell phone ranges from $20 - $40 for a basic model.

You may rent a cell phone from the school for $5/week.

Minutes are added by purchasing pre-paid cards that range from $1.30 - $13 in value.
